I’ve been there for a couple of weeks. They have new bathrooms, free breakfast, awesome staff and amazing people live there. I reckon this hostel will be good for someone who doesn’t like to spend fortune on an accommodation in Australia but live in a good facilities. 100% recommended.

Very helpful - helped an aged lady carry her heavy case upstairs. Bed in 4 bed dorm very comfortable. Shower good and hot and breakfast adequate. Cooking facilities excellent.

I visited the hostel for 3 nights in May 2018, and stayed in a 4 bed dorm. The location was perfect, only at walking distance from the CBD, Surry Hills & Kings Cross! Considering the location of the hostel and comparing the price with the other hostels, this one was great value for money!! The kitchen & bathrooms were clean. The staff was very welcoming & friendly, and I could notice that they made a great effort. Overall, I highly recommend!

I've been in more hostel here in Sydney, and it was always disappointing, so i didn't expect much from this one, also because the price is so convenient. But at the and this Hostel was the best, rooms are big enough and quite clean, common areas are not so big, but are good to make friends, and everyone is very friendly in here, even the staff, witch was always helping.

The room was pretty correct, nice kitchen, proper showers and bathrooms. A quiet place when you want to sleep, with a perfect rooftop when you want to chill!
Very nice manager, with a beautiful voice that I had chance to hear on the rooftop, during a jam session with other travelers!

Manager nick was nice and caring about the hostel. Clean facilities and large kitchen. Make sure to label your food Awesome rooftop chill area and great overall vibe. Right in Sydney's cbd so walking distance from most action. Will definitely return.

Lovely hostel!! Would definitely go there again. 🙂 Good location, nice people, clean, quiet and not that big. Free access to Wi-Fi and computers! (I could even print my tickets for some cents)
Could store my luggage and use the facilities the hole day before being picked up for the airport.

I stayed over for New Years. It's a little far out but there's a subway station not that far away and the red city bus stops not that far away either. Had free WiFi, kitchen pretty clean. Only problem is checking out as it's not a 24 hour reception but they did refund key deposit on my card pretty quick. Beds comfortable. It was a fair price for new years and didn't have the 7 day minimum stay like most of the others which was good.

Nice little hostel, clean, quiet, friendly staff and reasonable prices.

Had a double room for a week, wasn't anything special but I didn't expect anything more for the price.

The kitchen wasn't huge but served its purpose. Not too far from the city centre either.

Being difficult to find a suitable place for lodging within Sydney (for Backpackers), the hostel holds all the necessary items that you may require. More quiet than the ones in Kings Cross and cleaner. Nice atmosphere and decent breakfast.

I come here for 5 nights it's really good, it's clean the stuff are really friendly the kitchen have everything you need, the wifi works well, the beds are clean when you arrive they give you clean sheets, also they make movie nights with free pizza. It was awesome to stay in here

Booked in for two nights but ended up prolonging my stay another 3 times! Felt at home here, staff friendly, guests friendly. Its not a party hostel which was exactly what I needed, can do my parting elsewhere and have a place to relax and sleep! Hostel is overall clean, kitchen is well equipped and the common room is comfy with a good selection of movies to watch. Roof terrace is a nice place to chill with other guests and have a smoke etc.

I stayed in Sydney Star Cozy M hostel for 4 nights. Since I came I felt very welcomed by friendly staff. Hostel staff was very helpful and always willing to help where to go, call me taxis, show me directions etc. When I came to the room it looked pretty basic, however it was clean! I appreciate that there were no carpets in the room and everything was fair enough for that price. Regarding the common areas I saw some reviews, that it is not that clean, however I must say I really did not see nothing dirty there. Hostel cleans common areas twice a day, so it was definitely OK. I would definitely recommend the hostel!

We did a late check in and that worked very well. We basically met the owner in the stairs going up to our room and he offered himself to help us even though it was in the middle of the night. We got a great room for a couple with new everything and it was cleaned spotless. When we went to the kitchen the same night to grab some water we saw the owner and his lovely female colleague standing in the kitchen baking muffins for the guests for the morning after. I liked it very much and it was very quiet and friendly. The owner seems to put some effort in making this a good and warm place.

Having stayed in other hostels in Sydney, my expectations were low when it came to this one but it really shone out as a great hostel.

Informative, helpful and friendly staff make checking in and out easy and make the stay enjoyable. The beds were very comfy and clean, as were the showers, kitchen and lounge. The kitchen is well equipped if a little small and there is plenty of room for guests in the lounge and dining area. A pleasant and enjoyable stay, I will be returning.

Just arrived in Sydney and immediately got to the best hostel ✌️Service is great! People are super sweet and making u feel not ever wanting to go home. Clean rooms, VIP service, staff is professional and nice!

The wifi is really good and free!! A rare benefit in Sydney. The beds are new and really comfy. It has a comfy sofa and tv to use and the kitchen is small but has everything you need. The people who work there are fabulous!! Location is great just a 20-30 minute walk into the city. Stayed for a month and will come back.
